SWAGELOK Annual seminar, Porto | 35 participants

The ambition

Turn Swagelok’s annual seminar into a unique interlude. A deliberately offbeat format, far from traditional seminars: no meetings, no downtime, but a continuous flow of high-impact activities designed to build collective spirit and create lasting memories, all wrapped in the perfect excuse: “Sorry, I can’t, I’ve got Porto!”

The logistics

A fast-paced arrival kicks off with a seafood-inspired lunch overlooking the Douro River, before boarding for a team regatta: coordination, strategy, and collective spirit set the tone. All of this is punctuated by still-warm pastéis de nata, because effort always deserves its reward. In the evening, a convivial dinner is served overlooking the iconic Luís I Bridge, with breathtaking views over the city.

The next day brings a change of scenery but not of rhythm: an immersion into Portuguese wine culture with a winery visit and a blending workshop, where each participant leaves with their own Swagelok-branded wine bottle. The journey then heads north for a traditional home-cooked lunch with locals, before letting loose (almost) during a buggy adventure between land and sea. The evening continues with a seated dinner followed by a festive night, extending the energy for as long as it lasts.

Finally, the seminar concludes with Porto on foot, Porto to taste, Porto to feel. A lively and authentic walking experience, punctuated by tastings and encounters, before heading to the airport with heads full of memories—and a clear desire to do it all again.
